AND SISTER WHO LOVE THE LORD:
Holy greeting in Jesus name. The above named ministry is a
registered and incorporated church, located in Liberia. With a
vision of feeding and educating the orphan and victimized children.
Since the fifteen year civil war in Liberia many of the children were
victimized. So we as church deem it necessary to come with this
Children Feeding Project. We write to you so that you will please
help our church to continue the Children Feeding Project. This is our

The orphan, pictures, and victimized children receiving food. The women
are cooking for them. You will see few copies of our church Article of
Incorporation. Please help in Liberia and make a child smile again.
We will gladly appreciate your donations and gift as it will be
considered a great contribution toward Liberia ’s children who came from
facing war and also it will be a great help to Liberia and Africa as
well.

A PROPOSAL ON
ORPHAN FEEDING PROGRAM
SUMMARY
Christ Resurrection Ministry has an evangelistic and humanitarian
burden. For sometime now, this ministry had been working to feed the
orphans and victimized children. As part of our humanitarian
mandate in this commission presently there are 15 orphans and 10
victimized children that are desperately in need to be fed two times
daily with rice and soup. Because the church does not have an
orphanage home for now, we cook the food and the children come and eat
and go to the people whom they are living with for now. These
children are living with people who found them during the heat of the
war in Liberia. For now the church does not have an orphanage home
to keep the children.
PROBLEM
STATEMENT
The
history of orphans and victimized children has largely been centered
around the civil catastrophe that lasted for fifteen years. As a result
of acute sorrow, deep sadness, suffering, pain and anguish, triggered
through traumatic events and experiences, in which many children were
abused, tortured, and beaten while some witnessed the killing of their
parents as well of the burning of their homes/properties in broad
daylight. These children were forcibly thrown into the circle of sexual
abuse/rape, by armed men according to their testimonies. Something
they did not want, and not ask for, neither expected.

NEED AND RATIONALE
In
the course of the fifteen year civil war, most of these innocent
children were captured by armed men from various factions and taken to
villages involuntarily; now that the war is over, and armed men are
disarmed, and nation, Liberia is gradually recovering. Most of the
children are set free and many of them are in search for their parents,
food, clothing and shelter. Some of them are traumatized, emotionally
cripple, sick and internally displaced. Well as trauma healing and
counseling takes place in the lives of the children, they are
transformed spiritually in need of shelter, (orphanage home) food,
drugs, clothing and education because they lack support and good care.
Sometimes that could easily trigger psychological disturbances and
trauma.
PROBLEM ANALYSIS
Considering the deplorable conditions of these orphan and victimized
children in a nation that had just returned from fifteen years of brutal
civil war and the psychological imbalances caused them as a result of
the war, it is very necessary to provide the best medicine that will
help them climb out of their psychological disturbances and traumatic
stress, and making them to feel, think, and to live like other children
of integrity in the society. By supporting the orphan and
victimized children feeding program, we can feed the children two times
a day. In this light, we can feed the children like this: For the
feeding of twenty five children, we cook two times a day – fifteen cups
of rice with soup in the morning to 12:00 P.M. Food is a ready then from
2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. the next meal is ready. They will not eat
again until the next day we begin.

Considering the deplorable conditions of these orphan and
victimized children in a nation that had just returned from fifteen
years of brutal civil war and the psychological imbalances caused them
as a result of the war, it is very necessary to provide the best
medicine that will help them climb out of their psychological
disturbances and traumatic
stress, and making them to feel, think, and to live like other
children of integrity in the society. By supporting the orphan and
victimized children feeding program, we can feed the children one time a
day until we can build orphanage home where we will be able to cook for
them two times. For now, we cook for them three times a week,
every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. The reason is we do not have
orphanage home to keep the children for now. We cook 20 cups of rice
every one of these days. So it means one bag
of rice is cooked in
two weeks time. It means every one month we use two bags of rice.
Until we have have orphanage home then there will be changes in the
cooking for the children. In Liberia one bag of rice is one
thousand six hundred Liberian dollars which equal to $27 USD for a bag
of rice. Two bags of rice for a month will be $54 USD.
For soup we use eight hundred Liberian dollars which is
equal to $ 14USD every one of these days we cooked.
For char coal one bag of char coal is use for every three
days. One hundred and sixty Liberian dollars for one bag of char
coal. Which is equal to $ 3.00 USD so every month we use $12 USD for
char coal.
We pay one thousand two hundred Liberian dollars for each
of the three women who cooked for the children, which is equal $20 USD
per person. With the continuation of the feeding program, we believed
that many of these children will be catapulted out of their situations.
GOALS
To help orphans and
victimized children by feeding them two times daily with rice and soup
which is the Liberia’s stable food.
OBJECTIVE
To restore the
integrity and hope of hopeless orphans and victimized children in
Liberia by making them forget the past and consider the great future
through our support and to making them smile again.
BENEFICIARIES
Fifteen orphans which include ten victimized children who have not seen
their parents since the war. Even though there are many kids in
this situation.

NOTE
Total cash needed monthly to facilitate orphans and victimized children
feeding program is 861 USD (EIGHT HUNDRED SIXTY ONE UNITED STATES
DOLLARS) monthly.
